Welcome to Stal Epona, the Home of Happy Horses! Our horse riding school is located just outside Ladysmith, KZN and we aim to share our knowledge of the art of horse riding with our students. We cater for all age groups and abilities, ensuring that we can share the joy that is horse riding with everyone.

About Stal Epona
It's in the name
What does Stal Epona mean? Stal is the Dutch word for 'stable' and Epona was, in Gallo-Roman religion, a protector of horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules - so, rather appropriate we'd say!
Who we are
Stal Epona was founded with one goal in mind: giving our students the best, most rewarding learning experience through passionate teaching and coaching.
What we offer
At Stal Epona, students may refine their skills in the art of dressage, or learn to jump like the pros! Children may also partake in our pony camps, where they get to experience a taste of farm life including feeding and grooming horses as well as getting hands-on experience in other farm chores.
While we are of course horse-crazy, Stal Epona is also home to many other animals including donkeys, ducks, geese, chickens, peacocks, dogs, cats and many, many goats, which our guests and students will definitely come to meet!

Stal Epona launched into the age of social media.
July 18, 2018
As of yesterday, Stal Epona made efforts to keep up with the digital and social media age by launching a website, Instagram page, and email account. It is important to keep up with the times so as to reach as many customers as possible, and what better way to do this than by expanding online. Be sure to follow us on Instagram or send us an email for any queries and don't forget about our Facebook page which has also undergone a few changes over the past two days.
